P/01Reports & answers
Know your numbers. Get a straight answer.
Reports, dashboards and written analysis built from your own data. They refresh on their own where your software allows, and each comes with a note on how every number is calculated.
Mostly over screen share and a shared channel, in working sessions with your team.

What we'd fix first
A one-page note, yours to keep.
- After a signed brief
The first result
Last month's report rebuilt from your own data and matched to the one you trust.
What owners tell us.
Recognize one of these? It is the kind of job we take on. Where we have written a field guide on it, it is linked below the problem.
“I don't know profit by job.”
QuickBooks Online
“The bank's monthly report takes two days.”
Excel · QuickBooks
“Shopify and QuickBooks give two different totals.”
Shopify · QuickBooks Online
“Should we keep our warehouse or move to a 3PL?”
Your order data
“I want one page every Monday with the numbers that matter.”
QuickBooks Online · Google Sheets
“We need a straight comparison before we sign with a new vendor.”
Quotes and contracts
What you have at the end.
The report or dashboard in your own account, refreshing on its own where your software allows.
A note on how every number is calculated, so you, your bookkeeper or your bank can check it.
For a question, a written answer with the numbers behind it and what would change the answer.
A check against the report you already trust, line by line, before you rely on the new one.
One problem, shown on screen.
Nothing is built and we get no access to your systems until you have signed a two-page brief. The first result is checked against the bar in it, with stop points along the way.
The walk-through
You show us one recent case on screen, the way your team really does it.
What we'd fix first
A one-page note: the real problem, the first job, a draft bar for "working". Yours to keep.
The first result
Last month's report rebuilt from your own data and matched to the one you trust.
Four steps, the same every time.
Mostly over screen share and a shared channel, in working sessions with your team.
Learn the work
We sit with the people who do the job, over screen share, and watch how it really runs, workarounds included.
Build on your data
We report on, fix, clean up, automate or build what the job needs, on your real data, with the least access it takes: read-only first, a test copy where possible, everything in your accounts.
Prove it against a bar you agree
Before we build, we write down with you what "working" means. The first working result is checked against that bar on your data, with stop points along the way.
Hand it over or run it for you
You run it: code, data, admin access, documentation and training, then our access is removed. Or we stay on and run it, including any AI worker.
Described by type, never by name.
We describe client work by the kind of company and the kind of work only: no names and no figures.
One dashboard showing everything going on, for a B2B supplier selling through Shopify.
Bookkeeping, tax returns or audits. We work alongside your bookkeeper or accountant.
Financial advice. We show what your numbers say; lending, tax and investment decisions stay with you and your advisers.
Reports on data we can't get to. If the numbers aren't in your systems, we say so first.
Field guides on reports & answers.
The first field guides here are on their way. Leave your email and we will send them as they publish.
Short answers to the long worries.
Do you replace our bookkeeper or accountant?
No. We build reports from the books they keep. The note on how each number is calculated is written so they can check it.
What if our numbers are messy?
That is common. The walk-through shows us how messy, and the note tells you what we'd clean first. Sometimes the first job is a cleanup, not a report.
Which software do you work with?
Whatever holds your numbers: QuickBooks Online, Shopify, spreadsheets, your CRM, your bank exports. If a tool can't export what we need, the note says so.
Will the report keep updating after you leave?
Where your software allows, yes: it refreshes on its own in your account. Where it doesn't, we write down the few steps to refresh it by hand.
Walk us through one problem. We'll tell you what we'd fix first.
